COME AS YOU ARE

You can be messy, complicated, cranky and emotional – come anyway

WHY VISIT A NATUROPATH

People visit a Naturopath for a wide range of health reasons. It might be to address a new health concern, or a condition you have lived with for years. It can be for physical or mental health

Maybe you are seeking enough energy to sustain you through a day or need to address the anxiety that’s held you back for years. Perhaps it is to discover the cause of your painful bloating, or simply to be able to enjoy a full night’s sleep. The common theme for attending a Naturopath is that you recognise that your current approach isn’t working.

At Geraldton Naturopathics we work with you to identify the full picture of what is going on for you. Your body parts don’t operate in isolation, when you have an issue going on with one part, it will certainly be related to what’s happening in all the other parts. This might not be obvious, but it’s almost always the case.

We will create a larger picture of what is happening – to work out how to alleviate your symptoms and restore your health. Come as you are. You can be messy, complicated, cranky and emotional. Come anyway.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Charlotte Inwood has been a Naturopath for 23 years. Having come across Naturopathy by chance as a young adult, she has dedicated her working life to the field

She holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy), and a Graduate Diploma in Education. She’s also undertaken post-graduate studies in Mental Health, focusing on how Nutritional Medicine and gut health can powerfully contribute to mental wellbeing.

With her grounded, warm manner and professional integrity, Charlotte works closely with her patients to deliver effective and meaningful health and wellness outcomes.

Along with running Geraldton Naturopathics, Charlotte is a regular presenter on wellness topics at community and corporate health events. She loves long hikes, gardening and long, soulful conversations. Charlotte lives in Geraldton with her beautiful family, three-legged dog, cranky cat and loud chickens.

As a Naturopath, I love connecting the dots for my patients. Together, we address all of the areas that contribute to wellness: diet, lifestyle, exercise, relaxation, state of mind and sleep.

What happens in a consultation?

  • Prior to your appointment, please complete the online health appraisal form.

Bring any relevant blood test results with you (your GP will have a copy of them). A naturopath will often interpret your results differently, so these are an important part of your assessment. Bringing them along to your appointment also saves time and means you won’t have to have the same test repeated!

Bring a complete list of all medications and dosages.

  • A lot of talking. We’re here to listen. You are the one that lives in your body, and so you are the best person to share the nitty-gritty details of how it feels in there.

  • We complete a thorough pathology assessment, using relevant blood, urine and/or stool testing as appropriate.

Often, the best information comes from the routine blood tests you will have already had done with your GP. There is so much gold in these basic tests that reveal what might be driving your physical symptoms.

Sometimes we need to cast our net a little wider and utilise more specific testing.

These can include: food intolerance testing, microbiome mapping, hormone testing, and breath testing to diagnose Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO).

  • Prescribe the correct nutrients, herbal medicines and dietary adjustments to heal the deepest cause of the problem. We gently observe how the body responds to these changes, and what else it reals in the process.
